 Things to do in Bristol

Bristol a great place to visit.

Places to visit around Bristol with kids, there are several places to visit around Bristol and on this page you will find some of the places we have visited and found to be great for the kids. @ Bristol is situated just off the city center. Lots of hands on stuff for the kids to do but I found that they started getting bored after 2 hours, (only my opinion) Check it out for yourself and see what you think.

Bristol Zoo seems to be getting better and better each year with lots to see and do. The seal and Penguin coast is recommended along with Bug world.
As with all Zoo's they do not change much from year to year, so if you went last year not much would of really changed so it can be a bit boring for the older kids.
Bristol Zoo is great though for the kids with lots of things for them to see, I recommend that you bring a Picnic to keep the cost down and make a day of it. Parking is also another problem unless you get there early.

The Bristol Museum
Bristol museum is an often forgotten place in Bristol but it is great for kids of all ages. or just to take a visit if you are in that area. The museum can be forgotten and it can be a pain parking around this part of Bristol but the kids will enjoy it once they get inside. There is lots to see inside, And do not forget its Free Open 7 days a week, 10am - 5pm. With the Banksy show on it is very popular.

Other places to visit around Bristol

An other free idea is to take a walk around the Bristol docks. Start by the SS Great Britain and take a stroll up towards the City Center. Stop off at Brunels Buttery for a great bite to eat (open Mon-Fri 8am-4pm, Sat-Sun 8am-5pm), Great walk on any day of the week.

Take the Kids to a Local park they are also free
