Swanage
When we went to Swanage we stayed at a camp site just outside of Swanage called Ulwell Cottage caravan park and mainly travelled around.
Ulwell caravan site was not a bad place with club house, swimming pool, shop and some good amenities, The camp site takes dogs and has some great fields and public footpaths around for taking the dogs for a walk. This is also a good camp site to use as a base to visit places around Swanage.
The castle pictures are from Corfe castle Dorset which was about a 20
minute drive away from Swanage. We had a nice meal in the pub called the Greyhound first then had a wander around Corfe Castle to work it all off again.
Some great views from here and some interesting
facts about the castle and places to visit.
There is the Swanage Steam Railway that you can take a steam train from Swanage To Corfe Castle.
We spent a couple of days in the New Forest sight seeing and riding around the many trails on our bikes, there are several different places that you can visit and pick from but they do get busy and you can have trouble parking at some of them.
Horse riding is the other thing that there is plenty of around the New Forest, this can be expensive so its worth while ringing around
and comparing prices.
Visit Burley it is a great Village to look around for gifts and shops to see, Check the Bournemouth Link for More info
The www.thenewforest.co.uk will give you lots of information on what to do and see.
A Place that has been recommended through the guest book and is good, is
Moors Valley
which covers 750 acres in the Valley of the Moors River. 10 Miles north of
Bournemouth.
Thanks to Silver for the link
We did visit here ourselves and can confirm it is a great day out here with
lots to see and do. Take your bikes if you have them or hire some.
Poole has a great Swimming pool type complex called Splashdown it is full of slides and flumes, we spent a great time here.
